Editorial policy
Our editorial work aims to make ideas about possible futures clear, careful and useful without claiming certainty. Readers should be able to see what a piece is saying, what it assumes and where its limits lie.
Accuracy and uncertainty
We check factual statements against appropriate materials before publication and distinguish description, interpretation and speculation. Scenarios are ways to explore possibilities, not predictions. We use measured language where evidence or outcomes are uncertain, and we do not invent research, quotations or examples and present them as real.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for reader clarity and relevance, not as a promise of favourable coverage. We disclose a relevant relationship when it could affect how a piece is understood. Partner arrangements do not determine editorial conclusions.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error, unclear distinction or misleading claim, contact us through the Contact page and identify the passage. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted. Significant changes should be made clearly rather than quietly changing the meaning of a published piece.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. We may use illustrations generated with AI; such images are illustrative, not evidence, and are identified where appropriate. We do not use an illustration to imply that a possible future has already happened.
